History of Nu'uroa Fest'
The festival also adds to the museum's collections of Heiva costumes. In 2025 the group Hei Tahiti donated two prize-winning outfits, and in 2026 the group Nuna'a e Hau, winner of the best hura nui costume prize at Heiva i Tahiti 2026, gave a men's and a women's costume.

About Nu'uroa Fest'
The last act of the Heiva season: dance and song groups perform in the gardens of the Museum of Tahiti and the Islands.
Nu'uroa Fest' continues the Heiva experience into August, giving a stage to hīmene and 'ori Tahiti groups that did not win prizes at the official competition. Performances are in the gardens of Te Fare Iamanaha, the Museum of Tahiti and the Islands, in Punaauia, away from the bustle of To'ata. After each show there is time to meet the artists and take photos up close with the costumes.
