The annual feast runs from August 29 to September 8. In 2026 it ran for 11 days over those dates, with the main feast day on September 8.
It opens with the flag hoisting and continues with novena prayers, Holy Masses, the Way of the Cross, the car procession and the feast day.
In 2026 the Grand Car Procession was on September 7, the day before the main feast.
The flag hoisting opens the festival on August 29. One guide says a public flag hoisting is live-streamed each day at noon from August 30 to September 7.
The first few days of September are suggested for visitors who want to avoid the very large crowds of the final days.
