- Final Sunday: A procession with palanquins and brass bands marches from the Chaugan to the banks of the Ravi, where people cast minjars, coconuts and coins into the river.

History of Minjar Mela
In 935 A.D., when the Raja of Chamba came home after defeating the King of Trigarta, now called Kangra, people greeted him with bundles of paddy and maize. That is said to be the first Minjar Mela. The fair has since been declared one of the state fairs of Himachal Pradesh.
