In 2026 it ran from September 18 to October 5. It is held each year in September through early October.
Entry to the feature floral displays in the public parks is free. Some events, tours and private gardens need paid tickets.
At the 2026 parade the start was 10am. It lasts around an hour and a half and finishes at Godsall Street Oval at about 11:30am.
Pick one spot along the route (Herries, Ruthven, Margaret or Hume Street, or Godsall Street Oval) and arrive early, since there is no reserved seating. A mobility viewing zone is in the Ruthven Street car parks opposite the Toowoomba Regional Art Gallery.
The organizers recommend 2 to 3 days to see the gardens and events. A day trip is also possible.
The two big displays are at Queens Park Botanic Gardens and Laurel Bank Park. More displays are in the CBD (Ruthven and Margaret Streets), Picnic Point Lookout and Spring Bluff Station.
September in Toowoomba is typically sunny and warm but can turn cool at night. Dress in layers and bring a jacket.
