Ten days of night parades, ice canoe races and Bonhomme's Ice Palace in Québec City's snow, since 1955.
Bonhomme Carnaval, the carnival's ambassador, gets a new Ice Palace every year, and it anchors the activities. There are two night parades, ice canoe racing across the St. Lawrence River, snow and ice sculptures, tobogganing and sugar shack stands. The catch is the cold and the crowds, so walking or taking the bus is the easiest way around.
