Punahou Carnival schedule

• Friday, February 5 and Saturday, February 6, 2027: Carnival runs 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Theme: "Party Like It's 2000."
• Each day: Bands rotate at the Hawaiian Plate on an hourly schedule, with first shows at noon and final shows at 10 p.m.

Getting to Punahou Carnival

• The carnival is held on the Punahou School campus in Honolulu. The Hawaiian Plate is at Dole Hall, mauka of Rice Field parking and the main carnival grounds.

Tickets and cost

The carnival is open to the community. The Variety Show in Dillingham Hall usually sells out very quickly.

History of Punahou Carnival

The tradition began in 1932, when, during the Depression, Academy students hosted an "Oahuan Campus Carnival" to raise money for the yearbook. It has grown into a two-day event that welcomes tens of thousands of visitors.

About Punahou Carnival

A two-day school carnival in Honolulu with rides, local food, a huge art show and a famous mango chutney.

Punahou Carnival is a two-day community event run by the junior class at Punahou School in Honolulu. It has about 60 booths, E. K. Fernandez rides, games, live music at the Hawaiian Plate and a silent auction. The Carnival Art Gallery shows over 1,000 works by Hawaii artists. Proceeds support the school's financial aid program.

Know before you go

• The carnival runs 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. each day and all are welcome.
• The art gallery has an opening night before the carnival, open to the community.
• Punahou School is in Honolulu, about 20 to 25 minutes by car from Daniel K. Inouye International Airport (HNL).
