About Maskanoo Festival
A free Boxing Day street festival of Junkanoo bands, costumes and fireworks on Grace Bay Road.
Maskanoo takes over central Grace Bay on December 26. Junkanoo bands in painted cardboard costumes parade and dance along the road, with vendors, a stage and fireworks. Bands typically arrive around 9:00 pm. The practical catch is parking, which is very hard, and restaurants nearby book up fast.
Know before you go
- Parking can be nearly impossible, so hire a taxi or private car if you stay outside Grace Bay.
- Junkanoo music is very loud, so bring ear protection for small children.
- Grace Bay is on Providenciales, the island with the main airport (PLS), so take a taxi or private car.
