August is peak monsoon season in Nepal and a popular time for culturally-minded travelers from New York City to visit Kathmandu for lower tourist density and lush green valleys. From John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK), expect one- or two-stop itineraries via hubs such as Doha, Istanbul, Dubai, or Delhi; airlines include Qatar Airways, Turkish Airlines, Etihad, and Indian carriers with onward connections.
