History of Wilderness Festival

Cornbury Park is an estate of about 5000 acres near Charlbury, mostly farmland and woods, including a remnant of the Wychwood Forest. It was the original venue for the Cornbury Music Festival and later Wilderness. It was once a royal hunting estate and appears in the Domesday book.

About Wilderness Festival

A four-day boutique festival at Cornbury Park with music, banquets, talks, wellbeing and two swimming lakes.

Wilderness takes over Cornbury Park, an estate near Charlbury, with live music and the arts, long-table feasting and dining, talks and debates, a wellbeing Sanctuary and a Family Field. There are two swimming lakes and a forest to explore. Camping is available on site. The festival is held in late July or early August, and the dates shift a little each year.
