- Saturday, February 6, 2027: Last day for number collection in Moshi, 9 am to 5 pm. No collection is allowed after hours or on race day.
- 12:30 pm: Final cut-off for both the full and half marathon.

Getting to Kilimanjaro Marathon
- Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) is about 50 km from Moshi.
- Free shady parking is in the MoCU grounds, entered by Uru Road only. It is a 5 minute walk to the start of the half marathon and the fun run, and 2 minutes to the start of the full marathon.

History of Kilimanjaro Marathon
The 2027 race is the 25th anniversary of the Kilimanjaro Marathon and an official Comrades Qualifier. The marathon and half marathon are run under Athletics Tanzania and World Athletics rules. The event has also started tree planting to help re-forest Kilimanjaro.

Is the Kilimanjaro Marathon course flat?
No. The course has rolling climbs on the outward leg and some descents on the return. Moshi sits at about 800 m, with some sections at 900 to 1,000 m.

About Kilimanjaro Marathon
A marathon, half marathon and 5 km fun run starting in Moshi, with Mount Kilimanjaro above the course.
Runners start and finish at the MoCU Stadium in Moshi, on the lower slopes of Africa's highest mountain. The course rolls through coffee and banana farms, and the mountain shows on clear mornings. The catch is altitude: Moshi sits at about 800 m, so arriving a few days early helps. Race numbers must be collected before race day.
Know before you go
- Race numbers are not handed out on race day, so collect yours in Moshi from February 4 to 6, 2027 (or earlier in Dar es Salaam or Arusha).
- Arrive 2 to 3 days early to adjust to the altitude.
