About Kew Orchid Festival

Kew Gardens fills its Princess of Wales Conservatory with orchids and themed sculptures every winter, from early February into March.

Each winter the Princess of Wales Conservatory at the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew is transformed with orchids and large plant sculptures built around a theme. The 2026 festival, the 30th, took its theme from China and included a giant arching serpent covered in ginkgo leaves. Entry is included with a Kew Gardens ticket, but a separate timed slot for the orchids must be booked in advance.
