History of Hui Holidays

Hui Noʻeau was founded in 1934 and sits on the historic Kaluanui estate, a home built in 1917 by C.W. Dickey for Hui founder Ethel Baldwin. In June 2005 the Hui community bought the 25-acre property for $3.5 million.

About Hui Holidays

A historic Maui estate turns its galleries into a holiday market of local artists and makers.

Each holiday season the Hui Noʻeau Visual Arts Center expands its gift shop into the much larger gallery and fills it with local vendors. Shoppers find handmade ceramics, textiles, jewelry, keiki gifts, ornaments and bath and body goods. The setting is the old Kaluanui estate with views of Haleakala. It is a shopping stop, so plan it around a longer Maui stay.
