History of Hawaii Food & Wine Festival

The festival has grown since its start in 2011 into the largest food and wine festival in the state. It is organized and produced by the nonprofit Hawai‘i Ag & Culinary Alliance. It is the only festival that requires participating talent to use a locally grown, raised or caught product in their dish.

Hawaii's largest food and wine festival runs over several weekends in the fall on three islands, with events on Maui, Hawaii Island and Oahu. Chefs, winemakers and mixologists take part, and every participating chef must use at least one locally grown, raised or caught ingredient. The big Honolulu grand tasting is the main event, while Maui adds a golf classic and chef dinners. Pick the island and the weekend before you book.
