History of Bagamoyo Arts and Culture Festival
The festival dates back to the early days of the Bagamoyo College of Arts, now called TaSUBa, and was set up to show the work of students and teachers. Since 1982 it has grown to host activities from many countries. It was once held under a mango tree and is now staged at the TaSUBa Theatre, a 2,000 seat amphitheater.

About Bagamoyo Arts and Culture Festival
Tanzania's long-running arts festival: dance, music, theatre and acrobatics in the historic coastal town of Bagamoyo.
The festival began at the Bagamoyo College of Arts (TaSUBa) to show the work of students and teachers.
